Rule of Thumb



You can always add seasonings to cooking, but you cannot take them out. So always start with half of your seasonings and taste your recipe before adding more.

Rule of Thumb is a phrase you apply to sayings that fairly accurate in most situations stated in the rule. For a more comprehensive explanation, Wikipedia have the following to say

A rule of thumb is a principle with broad application that is not intended to be strictly accurate or reliable for every situation. It is an easily learned and easily applied procedure for approximately calculating or recalling some value, or for making some determination.

    For the seasoning part, it's very true lorr...hehe...poured too much soy sauce at one go coz lazy to taste and add them later in case not enuf, end up eating super salty egg :P
