POP3 Access to Hotmail enabled
Lagging for years behind Gmail, Microsoft had finally relented and decides to allow POP3 access to hotmail. What this does mean is that we can now use *any* email clients to connect and collect mails from Hotmail instead of depending solely on MS Outlook, or Windows Live Mail program.
For example, you can add a new account from thunderbird via Tools -> Account settings -> New. From there you can set up the required information to retrieve and send your mails via Hotmail. The relating informations are as follows:
That's all for today, I might create a tutorial on how to access your other mails from Gmail if you want. But you will have to ask for that :P

POP server: pop3.live.com (Port 995)Interestingly, this also means that i can start using Gmail and only Gmail to manage all of my mails comfortably. I can now use Gmail's email retrieve feature to get and send my mails via Hotmail. Yay for centralized management =)
POP SSL required? Yes
User name: Your Windows Live ID, for example yourname@hotmail.com
Password: The password you usually use to sign in to Hotmail or Windows Live
SMTP server: smtp.live.com (Port 25)
Authentication required? Yes (this matches your POP username and password)
TLS/SSL required? Yes

Damn Interesting
Amongst the sites that I frequently visit for reading materials, this site had turned out to be one of my favourite for the last few days to douse the flames of boredom that had engulfed me at work (since there is almost nothing to do other than to wait for my components to finally arrive from the armory).
Introducing Damn Interesting, the site that offers great writeups on lots of interesting stuffs ranging from strange happenings to scientific breakthroughs of all time. The authors usually write their articles in a very suspenceful manner, inducing the readers to continue reading until the very end. To whet your appetite, here is one of my favourite article over there:
The Gimli Glider
So if you guys need something to kill off boredom, do visit and have fun reading the long time killers there, all the while gaining needed general knowledge to show off to your friends :)

Public Relations 2.0
Good day to you guys out there.
First, my apologies for not posting anything lately, since I am more involved in my work in my company (Just finished the design phase of the circuit), and I am more involved in the moderation of ReCom.
Nevertheless, I'll blog about my trip to Stockholm in Sweden a few weeks ago when I am done with minor cleaning up of the pictures taken there. The heat is causing major noise issues with the pictures taken, and sometimes i forgot to tune down the ISO when shooting in bright daylight. Ugh, talking about nice ISO spoilt pictures :(
As a filler, I would recommend you guys to have a read at the following article, which I think is useful for those who might want to start a business later on, or just about anyone else who isn't disconnected with the world. Have fun reading them ;)
Techcrunch: PR secrets for startups
Enjoy and till the next post, take care yea you guys ;)

One location to conquer them all...

Here's the deal. Due to the many times I've to fix others' computers, and most of the time I won't have my portable hard drive with me, so I always have to go to the related sites to download the things that I need. Hence, I've created a sharing space in 4Shared to store my most used programs. And as a bonus, I've decided to let you guys access the files there as well...
It's still incomplete as of now, but should have most of the programs that I've find useful to maintain my computer as well as introducing lots of convenient functions that doesn't take too much resources (check out the Texter and Launchy, they've saved me lots of time. Intro coming in the following weeks after my exam).
Hope you guys will find a central location to download things useful. You guys may access them here. Now I got to go back and hit my brain and notes again, see ya

One Day Blog Silence
No words, just respect. May those who had passed away on the day rest in peace. Please refrain from posting any comments in this blog on 30th of April, to show our respect to the victims. This poster will be put up again on the day itself.

Americans
Given that the US of A is considered as the superpower of the world today, it's kinda natural that their world only revolves around themselves. Anything else doesn't matter. Enjoy the next video, and hopefully you readers can answer the questions asked in the interviews correctly...
According to them, the next target that US military should attack next is actually their main ally in the Asia-Pacific Region: Australia.
Here are the answers to most of the questions posed, see how many have you answered correctly:
1. Name a country which begins with a 'u.'
US of A itself, Uganda, Ukraine and there are lots more out there.
2. What is the coalition of Willing?
To be frank, i don't know the answer to this question. A search via Google revealed that it the Multinational Force that looks after Iraq.
3. What is the religion of Israel?
Israel is a country created for the Jews. Their main religion is a monotheistic religion called Judaism.
4. What religions are buddhist monks?
Grammartically incorrect. If you want me to answer that, the religion's name is buddhist monks itself. (Note: I am just implying the answer to this question as posed).
5. Who won the Vietnam war?
It's a painful lesson for the United States. The Communist Vietnamese did.
6. Who is Fidel Castro?
Anyone who had lives long enough will know that he is the dictator of the communist Cuba.
7. How many sides does a triangle have?
Go figure.
8. What's the currency used in the United Kingdom?
Pound Sterling, the biggest currency in the world.
9. Where is North Korea?
North of South Korea of course. Lies to the north east of Chine, west from Japan.
10. Kofi Annan is a drink, true or false?
He is the current secretary-general of the United Nations.
Seems like my assumption is wrong. Kofi Annan is the past secretary general of the United Nations. The current Secretary-General of the United Nations is actually Ban Ki-moon from South Korea. His term starts from Jan 1 2007.
11. Who is Tony Blair?
The current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and currently leads the Labour Party.
12. Which countries are in the Axis of Evil?
Not to be confused with the Axis during the second world war, the Axis of Evil is what G.W. Bush used to refer to countries that he claims to support terrorism. They include Iraq under Saddam Hussein, Iran, and North Korea.
13. Who is the first man on the moon?
Official records claims that Neil Armstrong is the first man to ever step onto the moon.
14. What is a mosque?
It's a place of worship for Muslims.
15. How many kidneys does a person have?
Normally 2.
16. What is collateral damage?
I used to think it's damage to both sides, but it's a totally different thing altogether. It's military term used to describe:
17. How many world wars have there been?
I am not really sure. But i am sure that there are 2 wars with the name World War -s in it. ;)
18. Which state does KFC comes from?
I'll leave it to you guys to find out the answer.
19. What are Hiroshima and Nagasaki famous for?
They are the victims of the first and last nuclear bombs ever to be used in warfare.
20. How many Eifel Towers are there in Paris?
Go figure.
21. What is Al-Qaeda?
Due to my political biased mind, i will leave it to you guys to read the link provided.
22. Where was the Berlin-Wall?
Berlin, Germany
23. The language they speak in Latin America is Latin, true or false?
Not all speaks Latin, but most do.

Collateral damage is a military euphemism made popular during the Vietnam War (Army Technology Glossary). The term has been in use so long that it is now an accepted term within military forces, meaning "unintentional damage or incidental damage affecting facilities, equipment or personnel, occurring as a result of military actions directed against targeted enemy forces or facilities. Such damage can occur to friendly, neutral, and even enemy forces."
