Happy Chap Goh Mei

As my first post after my very very short Happy CNY post, I apologize for my lack of activities here in the blog. These 2 weeks have been a very busy time for me myself. I have to finish up the last 3 papers in my final exam, the attend extra classes that is part of the curriculum. On top of that, I have to deal with the extension of my visa to allow me to stay here till the end of my studies and I have to write out lots of letters to apply for a place for my practicals.

Anyway, the atmosphere here almost doesn't reflect the true atmosphere of the Chinese New Year celebration in Malaysia itself. Life just goes on like normal as if nothing significant had happened. The Germans didn't even know that it's our "Chun Jie" until after I mentioned it to them. To them, spring only officially starts somewhere at the end of the next month.

Just how did I am the other Malaysians celebrate the coming of the Rat year? Well, as "Tuan Yuan Fan" the Malaysian Chinese here gathered to cook a meal together. We drank Ba Kut Teh on that night but were quickly dispersed due the fact that it's still exam time and we have last minute stuffs to study and understand before the exam.

First day of the new year, we did have meal together yet again at about almost the same time span. By Friday, our exams are now ever and Joshua had flown to London to meet his friends over there. He did promise to bring back roasted duck from "Four Seasons", a famous roasted duck speciallist in London.

Well, a few days later, after Joshua comes back from London, we have had a gathering of the Malaysians living over here in Aalen to organize a steamboat evening. I finished my extra class early and got there to help with the stripping of chicken meat from it's skin and various other stuffs in the kitchen to prepare for the dinner. My senior, Meo Lian did a very good job with the soup for the steamboat and we have had a very nice gathering that night chit chatting and playing games on the PS2 and Poker (with chips).

The next day, the chinese gathered together again to have a meal again, this time with the roasted duck that Joshua brought back from London. The duck was sure very nice to eat, which is why that particular shop is very famous in London and to the Malaysians living in Europe as well.

Time sure passes quickly, now we are at the end of the celebrations time, with Chap Goh Mei coming tomorrow. How was your celebrations so far? Wishing you all a very successful new year ahead of you guys!

Ass U + Me

So what's with that ass u+ me?

It'll be an ass between u + me if you start to assume things.

Very often we just assume things based on past experiences and assumptions that others had made.

How tasty, how disasterous, how gorgeous, how bad, how good, how evil, how angelic, how useless, how helpful....etc etc...

All these are nothing but labels we put on a person. How well can these labels represent a person? Are they really what we labelled them as?

Nevertheless, labelling is yet another way of human use to judge people.

These labels may represent a person well at the particular point of time when the comment was made. But, how well can it represent the same person in the past, or in the future?

Is it fair to judge a person based on their past, what more based on other's point of view, when the person is a 'new' person now?

Are you sure that a person that is nice to you now, will not do something hurtful to you in the future?

Are you sure the person you see now, is the person they really are? Never judge a book by its cover. Life is full of uncertainties and surprises.

If you realise, almost every cells in our body is constantly changing, developing and differenciating. Old cells are replaced with new cells.

Red blood cells last only for 115-120 days. 75% of our body is water and every month or so, almost all the water in the body is replaced. 7% of our body weight is blood fluid and blood cells, most of which are replaced in 3 months.

After a period of time, our body is replaced with an almost complete new body. Can we still say that it is the same body 3 months ago?

The truth of life is change. Nothing remains the same. Keep and open mind and open heart and stop assumming things.

Past is past. Future has yet to come. We have a new life everyday, don't we? Live in the present!

Everything around us is, but an illusion. It's all created in the mind.

My phone currently is out of order. Sometimes it is okay, sometimes it 'falls sick'. Most of the time, it cannot receive signals and has no signals completely. It's severity increases with the time of the day. Beg my pardon if I don't get to reply your smses or even get contacted.

Got my class test results today. Another class test this friday. *cry*

Here's a very nice song with nice lyrics..enjoy~

PERHAPS LOVE (John Denver)
Perhaps love is like a resting place, a shelter from the storm

It exists to give you comfort, it is there to keep you warm
And in those times of trouble when you are most alone
The memory of love will bring you home

Perhaps love is like a window, perhaps an open door
It invites you to come closer, it wants to show you more
And even if you lose yourself and don't know what to do
The memory of love will see you through

Love to some is like a cloud, to some as strong as steel
For some a way of living, for some a way to feel
And some say love is holding on and some say letting go
And some say love is everything, and some say they don't know

Perhaps love is like the ocean, full of conflict, full of pain
Like a fire when it's cold outside, thunder when it rains
If I should live forever, and all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you

Some say love is holding on and some say letting go
Some say love is everything and some say they don't know
Perhaps love is like the mountains, full of conflict, full of change
Like a fire when it's cold outside, thunder when it rains
If I should live forever, and all my dreams come true
My memories of love will be of you
:)

Here is another song, our song...:)

AT THE BEGINNING (Anastacia)
We were strangers starting out on our journey
Never dreaming what we'd have to go through
Now here we are and I'm suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected what you did to my heart
When I lost hope you were there to remind me
This is the start

(chorus)
And Life is a road and I want to keep going
Love is a river I want to keep flowing
Life is a road now and forever
A Wonderful journey

I'll be there when the world stops turning
I'll be there whenthe storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

We were strangers on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you

(chorus)

I knew there was somebody somewhere
Like me alone in the dark
I know that my dream will live on
I've been waiting so long
Nothing's gonna tear us apart

(chorus)

In the end I wanna be standing at the beginning with you

I would like to dedicate this two songs to my dear dear~ hehe.. sorry ya ppl, this post very cheesy..hehehe..pardon me yeah...

Post-Chinese New Year

Rat is a creature that run fast (If not how would the rat appear first in the zodiac calender?!).. Somehow the RAT year also goes faster than usual...or is it just me? Haha... No matter what, within a blink of an eye, it's already the 6th day of the Chinese New Year.

I felt that Chinese New Year very much comes in a package : family, relatives, friends, endless well-wishes, the scorching hot weather, red colour, chai shen ( the fortune god), all the Chinese New Year songs , incense and flowers, cookies, mandarin oranges, pamelos and lou sang and most important of all, a healthy body and a happy feeling to enjoy the festive season with vigour.

I had my one of the best and enjoyable CNY this year! Preparing food together, having tuan nian fan (reunion dinner) together with our loved ones, seeing everybody smiles, laugh until our stomach hurts, laugh until we pee in our pants, eat non-stop until our stomach buldge, visit relatives, long lost friends, getting updates and stuff our pockets with flashing red angpaus, visiting temples and praying for well-being and good fortune, praying of a good cheem, well-wishing everyone we see and sharing funny stories are the some of the best things I had done during this rat year CNY.

I really had enjoyed myself to the max! Now i am full of energy and vigour, and most importantly the right mindset to continue to strive in this never ending battle called life! :D

I wish my family, See Hua and family, and friends a very blessed rat year ahead. 万事如意。健康强壮。 笑口常开。中生美丽。 心想事成!!

Cheers~^.^

Love is all we need!

I am back in my second day of lecture. I was allllllll alone on the day i came back on sunday and the whole unit was eerie, nobody around, pitch dark toilets due to faulty light bulb, water spraying due to faulty pipes, house unkept and rubbish to throw. Despite those, it is a blessing to come back earlier as i felt more ready to digest my lectures and absorb them :)
Count down: 6 more days to DD2 essay class test and 11 days to PP2 class test. Jia you!
