Hmm...think i'll just put a quote here, it's the very same quote that i had posted in one of the threads in ReCom... Just an ancient piece of word from Emperor Asoka...
One should not honour only one's own religion and condemn the religions of others, but one should honour ohters' religions for this and that reasons. In so doing, one helps one's own religion to grow and renders service to the religions of others too. In acting otherwise one digs the grave of one's own religion and also does harm to other religions. Whosoever honours his own religion and condemn other religions, does so indeed through devotion to his ownm religion, thinking, 'I will glorify my own religion. 'But on the contrary, in so doing he injures his own religion more gravely, so concord is good. Let all listen, and be willing to listen to the doctrines professed by others.

reflect on it, i hope you all can learn something from it... :)
i agree.we should respect each other no matter what is our religion.
ReplyDeletewhat irks me the most is that many religious fanatics liked to condemn people to hell if we don't choose to believe in them...
ReplyDeleteGod in a sense is personal belief... there is no sense in forcing people to accept your version of God..that will defeat the purpose of religions in the first place...
do onto others what you want people do onto you :)
